Poppy Thornton - A Woman Who Brings Smiles and Ease

The first day I met Poppy I was touched by her generosity and kind spirit. I was dropping off laundry at the local laundromat. She was behind the counter… and she helped me out more than I expected.

A friendly face in a service industry is sometimes a hard thing to come by.

Now I’ve known her a few years. The past nine months have been a tale of separation anxiety for me, as I bought my own washer and dryer on account of my new baby.  I miss the good times with Poppy at the laundromat!  She’s elusive in a way; sometimes I wonder if she’s an apparition.  But she’s always where I least expect her to be, and where I need to see her the most.

Just last week she made me feel like the Queen of Columbus as she greeted me at a coffee shop.

She might be the best listener I have ever known! Compassionate, caring, attentive. And I can tell by the energy of the laundromat that she touches everyone who walks through the doors. She has a lot of fans.

Oh, did I mention that she is hilarious...and creative...and innovative, too? I love my Poppaletta, woo woo woo!
