Jeannie Ramos

3 years ago I found myself and my children homeless after a very bad breakup with an ex-boyfriend. I called my ex-sister in law who contacted Jeannie and her husband. I had lived in Pennsylvania all my life; now, I found myself in Hagerstown, Maryland talking to this couple whom I had never met before. After speaking for about an hour, they offered their home to me and my children.

We stayed with them for two months. They are both lay pastors at a cell church branch of Seventh Day Adventist. The church helped me to get a new car, earn money to move into my own place, and obtain a new job. They donated food, clothing, furniture, everything I could have needed to start my life over.

It has been a rocky road since and I have not always been so faithful to God, but through it all Jeannie has been a major source of inspiration. We have remained strong friends and stay in contact to this day. Though we now live 70 miles apart, she has remained one of my best friends and I would be lost without her guidance and level head.
