I want to thank everyone who has ever smiled at me when I have been in a bad mood. I want to thank everyone who has ever returned a smile when I have been in a a good mood. I want to thank the people who have held doors open for me, the servers at restaurants who have been pleasant and kind, the cashiers and servicepeople who have been helpful. I want to thank people who have ever returned lost wallets, told someone they left their headlights on in a parking lot, or who have provided a few pennies to someone who was short at the grocery store.

I want to thank every mother who has loved her children, every father who has kept their promises, every husband who hasn’t strayed, every wife who appreciated her husband, every person who has loved an animal.

I want to thank everyone who has ever helped, in whatever seemingly small way, to make this world a better place.
